i guess your attitude towards the other players and overall personality makes you leet (e.g. gaile gray, daniel frozenwind e.t.c.). i'd say players with a positive and friendly attitude are the best!

Please no one take offense to this... its a joke....
People who are leet are A**holes
People who are noobs are leet
People with the word "Derv" anywhere in there IGN think they are better than you and swear a lot.
People With "Sin" or "Assassin" In their IGN are horrible players.
You're either noob, or you're leet, or you're a noob.

This thread was cool, i feel leet now
For those who want to know why i feel leet:
1. I fit this description 85% of the time

.. dont know every skill in and out, and i have my no brain/noob moments (then i lol'ed) ... which i compensate with some brilliant strategy at times like Ebone escape to a monk under presure to take agro, then die, which gives the pug team the time to kill everything while still being healed, to then pop a candy on rez, dust off and ready to go for the next...
2. Although my name isnt linked to a build i have run my build basically from the very beginning and have only seen it get stronger with new skills added, a cursing necro with a pet, 1337 hexes i love thee ... and yes i ran this build through almost all the campains, only slightly adjusting if needed, and evolving if the opportunity arose...
3. I played RA allot, untill i met TO strong PvX builds, upon taking a look there i wrote a bit on PvX about how to construct a RA skill bar, unsure if anyone ever benefitted from it, but atleast it did not say which skills to use, just how to go about making a build, didnt put my name on it though (appart from the discussion section), think its the only thing i ever added to a wiki, i rather use(d) my own builds, and didnt want to spoil a big part of the game/fun (for me atleast) for others ...
4. Ohw and i have a wallow (infact i have 24 mini's, they are so cute , recently aquired some leet armors, after running around in black dyed droks scar with fanatic gloves/boots with gold trim for ages..
5. 1 c4n r340
6. I have an ever lasting rabbit tonic ! which means that when ever i am bored i can pop out my Gwen mini, turn into a rabit, and RP being a Mini Pet's pet
7. Most proud though i am of never having quit a pug; only ever resigned a couple of times (in pvp RA) under high presure, if you are going to loose, might aswell go down fighting !!
8. Most memorable moment of being confronted with leetism, being shown two bars, one awfull with Rez sig, and one decent bar without a rez.. to then ofcourse point the best bar to be the one with the Rezsig, upon which the person left my group, and how very glad i was, because the first time she would have died, she would have probably called us all noobs and rage quitted anyway ...

From wikipedia:
''In sociology as in general usage, the elite is a relatively small dominant group within a large society, having a privileged status perceived as being envied by others of a lower line of order.''
So if we want to apply the above to GW, it's important to know there are two different games within the game: PvP and PvE. Both have their own 'large society' and both have a small elite group within that playerbase.
So the question is what gives you status in both formats? In PvP I would say skills, ladder ranking (in a decent ranking system *cough*)
In PvE I would say titles, skills (knowledge about all that is to know in PvE and not only theoretical but also how to play in teams etc.) and status symbols. Ofcourse an item linked with status can decrease in status as more people get it. The same goes for titles. If for example 10k players have GWAMM from a total of 300k PvE players, then GWAMM is still Elite. But if half the playerbase has GWAMM, it loses its elite status.

Well, it's actually quite easy, read carefully:
Not caring at all about being leet.
See? I told you, pretty easy.

Not caring about "leetness" is leet. The "cool" people don't care about how they are perceived by others, they just have the self-confidence required not to need the group camoflage. And they feel bad for the wannabes who run around looking like clones of each other.

Im not really feeling the envy there.
Elitism has to be from a persons own perception. I guess for me gwamm has lost some of its value, I envy pandas.
